ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described a clamp, comprising a substantially rigid discontinuous arcuate ring including a substantially straight leg portion extending tangentially from one end of the ring member. A lug member is disposed between the ends of the ring member. The second end of the ring member is fixedly joined to the lug member. The inner circumferential surfaces of the ring member form a continuous circular arc with arcuate surfaces formed in the lug member. The arcuate surfaces of the lug member define a continuous arc extending between the second end of the ring member and an intermediate portion of the ring member such that the continuous arc thusly defined forms an uninterrupted continuation of the arc defined by the ring. The lug member further includes a housing which receives the leg portion of the ring therethrough. A tensioner is provided on the far end of the leg for tensioning the ring member so as to reduce the diameter of the clamp.
