ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The gas turbine installation has a gas turbine with two stages (HD, MD) of different pressures and an energy exchanger (ET) connected as upper stage of the gas turbine. High-pressure air compressed in the energy exchanger (ET) is fed to a burner (NB) acting on the energy exchanger (ET) and to a combustion chamber (BK) of the gas turbine. Propellant gases discharged by the energy exchanger (ET) and a high-pressure stage (HD) of the gas turbine are fed to a low pressure stage (MD) of the gas turbine. The gas turbine arrangement is intended to be distinguished by simple construction and high effi- ciency and to be advantageously influence in its mode of operation in respect, for instance, of rapid load changes. This is achieved by the following measures: - a heating element (e.g. H2) is provided in a leg (e.g. HD2) carrying high-pressure compressed air, - a cooling element (e.g. K1) is provided in a propellant gas-carrying leg (e.g. MD1) branching off from the energy exchanger (ET), - heating (e.g. H2) and cooling element (e.g. K1) are interconnected as a heat exchanger (e.g. W12) for the purpose of recuperation or regeneration of heat.
