Combustion chamber (1) for a gas turbine, with a flame tube (3) of the combustion chamber (1) having, in the flow direction, a mixing zone (15) for mixing a fuel with air to form a fuel/air mixture, as well as a primary combustion zone (17) and a post-primary combustion zone (18). At least one opening (5, 6) is in each case provided in the area of the mixing zone (15) and in the area of the post-primary combustion zone (18), in order to pass compressed air into the flame tube (3). The compressed air that is supplied is intended to cool the flame tube (3), and parts of it are then passed via the openings (5, 6) in the area of the mixing zone (15) and in the area of the post-primary combustion zone (18) into the mixing zone (15) and into the post-primary combustion zone (18).
