ABSTRACT A TURBOPROPELLER GAS TURBINE ENGINE The invention relates to turbopropeller gas turbine engines (40) of the type which have a propeller (12) positioned upstream of the gas generator (14). Intake openings (20) supply air through intake ducts (22) and annular intake duct (26) to the gas generator (14). A separating duct (24) removes foreign bodies from the air flowing through the intake ducts (22) and discharges it through an outlet (72). The separating duct (24) has a plurality of ejector nozzles (64) equi-spaced in the wall of the duct. The ejector nozzles induce a flow through the separating duct to draw the foreign bodies through the separating duct. The separating duct allows the passage of large foreign bodies therethrough without damage to the ejector nozzles, and the ejector nozzles are supplied with air from a compressor (28) of the gas generator, and this allows control of the flow through the separating duct (24) by a valve (76).
