In a gas turbine engine, a capacitive sensor is used for measuring a tip clearance of a radial compressor section (13) thereof, and an actuator (25) is used for axially displacing a rotor shaft (12, 20) in response to an output from the capacitive sensor. Because the capacitive change gives an accurate measure of the size of the tip clearance, where the tip clearance is small and tip clearance control is possible.
Dans une turbine à gaz, un capteur capacitif est utilisé pour mesurer le jeu à l'extrémité d'une section (13) d'un compresseur radial de cette turbine. Un actionneur (25) permet de déplacer dans le sens axial un arbre de rotor (12, 20) en réponse à une sortie du capteur capacitif. Le changement capacitif donne la mesure de la taille du jeu. Quand ce dernier est petit, il est possible de le contrôler.
