ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gas turbine unit with auxiliaries and, in the vicinity of the compressor, a compressed air branch line, or pressurized gas available for the operation of the turbines, characterized in that compressed air branched off from the compressor, or pressurized gas, is used to drive an energy converter which, without any drives or the like, produces the oscillating or rotating motion required to drive the auxiliaries of the gas turbine unit, or the whole unit formed therewith.
