Process for producing electrical power by first gasifying a carbonaceous material in a fluidized bed heat exchange steam reformer (34) which is indirectly heated by pulse combustors (12) and then burning the product gas as fuel in a gas turbine (38) which delivers exhaust gas to the pulse combustors (12) of the fluidized bed heat exchange steam reformer.
