GAS VENT ACCESSORY FOR DIE CASTING MACHINE Abstract of the Disclosure A device is disclosed for attachment to, or integral incorporation with, mold or die cavities of a die casting machine, for venting the cavity to allow gas to escape therefrom when it is being filled with zinc or the like. The body of the device includes a passageway providing communication between the die cavity and the atmosphere. A movable member is incorporated in the device for closing the passage after the gas has escaped and actuated by arrival of zinc in the passageway.
