There is described apparatus and a method for the treatment of potentially particulate organic waste material, the apparatus (10) includes: hopper means (12) having flow control means (18) for controlling the rate of flow of material (14) from said hopper means (12); at least one pyrolysis unit (20, 22) having heating means (24, 26) for heating said material, said at least one pyrolysis unit (20, 22) having therein means in the form of a cascade of vanes (60) for controlling a rate of flow therethrough; means (66) for removing gaseous products generated in said at least one pyrolysis unit (20, 22), said gaseous products being recycled or collected; and, residual treated waste material collection means (32).
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé destinés au traitement de déchets organiques potentiellement particulaires. Cet appareil (10) comprend une trémie (12) possédant des moyens de régulation de débit (18) permettant de réguler le débit des déchets (14) à partir de la trémie (12), au moins une unité de pyrolyse (20, 22) pourvue de moyens chauffants (24, 26) permettant de chauffer ces déchets, l'unité de pyrolyse (20, 22) comportant des moyens de régulation du débit traversant sous la forme d'une cascade d'aubes (60), des éléments (66) destinés à supprimer les produits gazeux générés dans ladite unité de pyrolyse (20, 22), ces produits gazeux étant recyclés ou collectés, ainsi que des moyens de collecte de déchets traités résiduels (32).
