A system for gasifying organic biomass material to produce combustible gases comprises an enclosed primary heating chamber having a top wall, side walls and a floor with a raised table for supporting a bed of biomass material. A conveyor system is provided for delivering biomass material to the table to create and maintain the biomass material in a generally frustoconically shaped mass on the table. The conveyor system includes a portion that extends upwardly into the base of the frustoconically shaped mass to push new biomass material outwardly from the central opening. An air supply manifold is provided for delivering air upwardly through the bed and includes clean out passages for removing dirt and small rocks. The manifold is dimensioned to define an annular zone of no air supply adjacent the edge of the table. A waste removal system adjacent the perimeter of the table is provided to remove ash and waste from the primary chamber and includes inwardly extending scraping members to scrape material from the annular zone of no air supply. A waste handling system includes a sealed waste conveyor with an air supply system for further gasification of the waste and ash. The primary chamber includes a discharge passage for release of gases produced by the bed to a secondary chamber where the gases are heated and a cyclonic flow of gases is established to remove suspended particulates from the flow to produce a flow of hot combustible gases. The secondary chamber includes a collection chamber for particulates and the entire system is maintained at a negative pressure by a draft fan.
Cette invention concerne un système de gazéification de biomasse servant à produire des gaz combustibles et composé d'une enceinte fermée de chauffage primaire présentant une paroi supérieure, des parois latérales et un plancher portant une plate-forme surélevée sur laquelle est déposé un lit de matière organique tirée de la biomasse. Un convoyeur achemine la matière organique à la plate-forme où elle se dépose et s'accumule en tas généralement tronconique. Le convoyeur comprend une partie qui s'étend vers le haut et dans la base du tas tronconique de matière organique de manière à refouler de la matière fraîche par une ouverture centrale. Un collecteur de distribution souffle de l'air vers le haut et à travers la plate-forme, et comprend des ouvertures de nettoyage pour l'enlèvement des saletés et des petites roches. Le distributeur est dimensionné de manière à définir une zone annulaire de soufflage nul le long des bords de la plate-forme. Un système d'enlèvement des déchets établi autour de la plate-forme sert à évacuer les cendres et les imbrûlés de l'enceinte primaire; il comprend des éléments racleurs orientés vers l'intérieur et qui dégagent la zone annulaire de soufflage nul. L'installation comprend un système de manutention par convoyeur sous enceinte hermétique alimenté en air pour la gazéification des imbrûlés et des cendres. L'enceinte primaire comporte une ouverture de décharge pour l'injection des gaz y produits dans une enceinte secondaire de réchauffage des gaz où un flux tourbillonnaire est établi pour la séparation des particules en suspension et l'obtention d'un flux de gaz combustible chaud. L'enceinte secondaire comprend un récepteur de stockage des particules et le système entier est maintenu en dépression par un ventilateur d'extraction.
