A method of forming a joint (32) between two plastics extrusions (10) is disclosed which comprises mitring the extrusions (10) so that they form the desired angle to one another, removing part of the rear face of each extrusion (10), placing the mitred extrusions in a mould and injecting a resin material whereby to bond the extrusions (10) to one another and produce the desired joint (32) configuration. Because the front surface (24) of the joint in accordance with the invention is entirely made up from the orginal extrusion, there are no problems with raised sight-lines, colour differentials, surface differences, or colour matching. Moreover, the method of the invention allows a corner to be produced which has a clean right angled rather than radiused inner portion.
L'invention concerne un procédé de formation d'un joint (32) placé entre deux extrusions plastiques (10). Ce procédé consiste à assembler à onglet les extrusions (10) de manière qu'elles forment l'angle souhaité, à éliminer partiellement la face arrière de chaque extrusion (10), à placer les extrusions assemblées à onglet dans un moule et à injecter une résine destinée à lier mutuellement les extrusions (10) et à produire la configuration souhaitée du joint (32). Etant donné que la surface frontale (24) du joint est, selon l'invention, entièrement formée de l'extrusion originale, les lignes de vues élevées, les écarts de nuance, les différences de surface, les choix des couleurs ne posent pas problème. En outre, le procédé permet d'obtenir un angle présentant un angle droit net au lieu d'une partie interne arrondie.
