ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION An improved process in or relating to liquid gaskets, using a UV-curable liquid comprising a polymerizable acry- late ester monomer, a UV initiator and a peroxy initiator and applying it to faying surfaces. The gasket material is partially pre-cured by appropriate ultraviolet exposure and can be stored in situ on the flange. The partially cured gasket can then be mated with another surface and further cured anaerobically to produce an adequate gas- ket and sealant. The method is adaptable for high speed production-line techniques to be applied on a variety of flange shapes and sizes. The invention also relates to a composition suitable for gasketing, which combines UV and anaerobic curing capability.
