A pipe gasket includes a toroidal gasket body and projections extending away from a peripheral surface of the gasket body. The gasket body is configured to allow the gasket body to roll along a spigot end of a first pipe as the spigot end is received inside a bell end of a second pipe. The projections each include a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is configured to facilitate rotation of the gasket body in a first rotational direction. The second surface is configured to inhibit rotation of the gasket body in a second, opposite, rotational direction.

Il s'agit d'un joint d'étanchéité pour tuyau comprenant un corps en forme d'anneau ainsi que des saillies prenant naissance sur la périphérie de l'anneau constituant le corps du joint. Le corps du joint est conçu pour rouler sur le bout mâle d'un premier tuyau que l'on insère dans le bout femelle d'un second tuyau. Les saillies sont toutes constituées de deux surfaces. La première surface des saillies est conçue pour favoriser la rotation du corps du joint dans une première direction. La seconde surface des saillies est conçue pour empêcher que le corps du joint ne roule dans une direction opposée à la première.
