In an engine (10) having a rocker member (32) adapted to rock about an axis (36) intermediate the rocker member and a pushrod (44) extending from a lower body (34, 14) to an upper body (42, 34) and engaging an end of the rocker member (41), a gasket (48, 58) for sealing the lower body to the upper body is provided. The gasket (48, 54) includes a sealing portion (56, 58) adapted to substantially seal at least a portion of the upper body to the lower body, and a pushrod support portion (60) extending outwardly from the sealing portion (56, 58) adapted to engage the pushrod (44). At least a portion of the pushrod support portion (60) engaging the pushrod (44) is constructed from a material that is softer than the material of the pushrod.

La présente invention concerne un joint (48, 58) destiné à un moteur (10) dont les culbuteurs (32) sont conçus pour basculer autour d'un axe (36). Ce joint (48, 58) vient entre le culbuteur et un poussoir partant d'un corps inférieur (34, 14) et se terminant dans un corps supérieur (42, 34), touchant une extrémité du culbuteur (41).
