An improved gasketed mounting cup (10) for an aerosol container (12) wherein the gasket (16) is a folded-over and hinged sleeve gasket; the gasket being used as an alternative to the cut-type gasket. In the preferred version, the hinge is distal to the body portion of the mounting cup. There is also provided a method for forming the improved gasketed mounting cup, as well as a novel punch (50) for forming the folded-over or hinged gasket.

L'invention se rapporte au perfectionnement apporté à une coupelle de montage (10) à joint d'étanchéité destinée à un aérosol (12) et dont le joint (16) est de type rabattu et à emboîtement à charnière. Ce joint est utilisé comme une variante au joint d'étanchéité à coupe. Dans le mode de réalisation préféré, la charnière représente la partie la plus éloignée du corps de la coupelle de montage. L'invention porte également sur un procédé permettant de façonner la coupelle de montage à joint d'étanchéité perfectionnée, ainsi que sur un nouvel outil de découpage (50) permettant de façonner le joint d'étanchéité rabattu ou à charnière.
