A gasket for sealing internal surfaces of a fuel cell and formed of compressible material, the gasket comprising a first sealing surface and a second sealing surface for providing a fluid seal against opposing faces of a first fluid flow field plate and a second fluid flow field plate respectively, the gasket further comprising a third sealing surface for sealing against an outer perimeter region of a first surface of a membrane electrode assembly, the third sealing surface being entirely enclosed within a boundary defined by an inner perimeter of the second sealing surface.
La présente invention concerne un joint statique pour étanchéifier des surfaces internes d'une pile à combustible et réalisé en un matériau compressible, le joint statique comportant une première surface d'étanchéité et une seconde surface d'étanchéité pour assurer une étanchéité fluidique contre des faces opposées d'une première plaque de champ d'écoulement de fluide et d'une seconde plaque de champ d'écoulement de fluide respectivement, le joint statique comportant également une troisième surface d'étanchéité pour assurer une étanchéité contre une zone de périmètre extérieur d'une première surface d'un ensemble d'électrodes membranaires, la troisième surface d'étanchéité étant entièrement contenue à l'intérieur d'une limite définie par un périmètre intérieur de la seconde surface d'étanchéité.
