Abstract The invention relates to a wall (1), particularly a wall (1) of a containment for a nuclear plant, a pool or a cavern. Provision is made for a sealing element (4) to be arranged on at least one surface of the bearing wall (2) to cover the latter. A protective wall (5) is arranged to cover the sealing element (4). Said protective wall is frictionally connected to the bearing wall (2). The protective wall (5) may consist of a plurality of parts (5a to 5f) . The frictional connection may be made by anchors (6, 8) or also by prestressing means or also by adhesive bonding. Figure 2.
