Disclosed are pharmaceutical products for providing pulses of at least one pharmaceutically active ingredient from a patient's stomach, or from a subsequent gastrointestinal site proximal thereto, for absorption thereof at a site(s) more distal in the gastrointestinal tract than the patient's stomach, or than the subsequent gastrointestinal site proximal thereto. The product comprises first, second, and third pharmaceutical dosage forms, each of which' comprises at least one pharmaceutically active agent and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The product is formulated such that at least two of the first, second, and third pharmaceutical dosage forms further comprise means for providing temporary gastric-retention of the at least two of the first, second, and third pharmaceutical dosage forms within the patient's stomach, or at the subsequent gastrointestinal site proximal thereto.
L'invention concerne des produits pharmaceutiques destinés à fournir des impulsions d'au moins un ingrédient pharmaceutiquement actif à partir de l'estomac d'un patient, ou à partir d'un site gastro-intestinal subséquent proche de l'estomac, pour l'absorption dudit ingrédient au niveau d'un site/de sites plus éloigné(s) dans le tractus gastro-intestinal que l'estomac du patient, ou que le site gastro-intestinal subséquent proche de l'estomac. Le produit comprend des première, deuxième et troisième formes posologiques pharmaceutiques, chacune d'entre elles comprenant au moins un agent pharmaceutiquement actif et un support pharmaceutiquement acceptable. Le produit est préparé de sorte qu'au moins deux des première, deuxième et troisième formes posologiques pharmaceutiques comprennent également des moyens destinés à assurer une rétention gastrique temporaire des deux des première, deuxième et troisième formes posologiques pharmaceutiques dans l'estomac du patient, ou au niveau du site gastro-intestinal subséquent proche de l'estomac.
