Abstract A gear case for power window regulators, housing therein a worm gear for use in reducing the rotational speed of a motor in a power window regulator is characterized in that said gear case consists of a thermoplastic resin, and a metal plate at least the greater part of which is buried in said thermoplastic resin by insert molding, said metal plate being composed of a projecting portion extending outward along a bearing, which is provided on said gear case, for an output shaft, and a substantially flat portion extending along the side surface of said gear case from a base part of said projecting portion to the outer circumference of said gear case.
