Apparatus for locking a gear assembly (12) of a vehicle, the apparatus for locking including apparatus (130) for lockably engaging a predetermined portion of the gear assembly (12), apparatus for selectably operating the apparatus for lockably engaging so as to lockably engage the predetermined portion of the gear assembly (12), characterized by the apparatus for lockably engaging including a shaft receiving portion (110) formed with an aperture which engages a shaft (104) of the gear assembly (12), wherein the shaft receiving portion (110) is provided with a ratched wheel (114) lockingly engageable by a pawl (116), the pawl (116) being actuable by the apparatus for selectably operating, such that when the pawl (116) is in a predetermined orientation with the ratched wheel (114), the shaft (104) cannot be rotated to operate the gear assembly (12).
L'invention concerne un appareil de verrouillage de l'ensemble sélecteur de vitesse (12) d'un véhicule, l'appareil de verrouillage comprenant un dispositif (130) destiné à venir en contact de verrouillage avec une partie prédéterminée de l'ensemble sélecteur de vitesse (12), et un dispositif destiné à actionner sélectivement le dispositif venant en contact de verrouillage de manière qu'il vienne en contact de verrouillage avec la partie prédéterminée de l'ensemble sélecteur de vitesse. L'invention se caractérise en ce que l'appareil venant en contact de verrouillage comprend une partie (110) recevant un axe dotée d'une ouverture et venant en prise avec un axe (104) de l'ensemble sélecteur de vitesse (12), la partie (110) recevant l'axe étant dotée d'une roue à cliquet (114) avec laquelle vient en contact de verrouillage un cliquet (116), le cliquet (116) étant actionné par l'appareil de commande sélective, de manière que lorsque le cliquet (116) se trouve dans une orientation prédéterminée par rapport à la roue à cliquet (114), l'axe (104) ne peut être mis en rotation pour actionner l'ensemble sélecteur de vitesse (12).
