- 1 - Abstract A gear wheel assembly for hydraulic purposes is provided, with a toothed ring having n internal teeth (4) and a gear wheel with n-1 external teeth (6), the centre point of which gear wheel is displaced about an eccentricity with respect to the centre point of the toothed ring and rotates around this toothed ring, the gear wheel rolling on the toothed ring and a recess (10, 11) being provided on the tooth flanks (8, 9) of each tooth. It is desired that, with a gear wheel assembly of this kind, when the motor is without pressure a braking action shall occur without any increase in wear. For that purpose, the gear wheel is oversized and each recess has three successive curved sections (16 -18) and starts and ends with the same tangent as the unmodified shape of the tooth (12). Fig. 2.
