ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a gear wrench with a torque meter in which the input axle and the main axle which trans- mits torque from the input axle to a torque amplifying mechanism are separately provided and a horseshoe-shaped elastic member is distorted according to the applied torque. Thereby transmission of an overload torque to the main axle is prevented and a rough measurement of the amount of the transmitted torque is indicated on the surface of the wrench by means of a pair of collar members attach- ed to the input and main axles respectively to rotate therewith each collar member having a scale thereon; the difference in rotation of the collar members on applying a torque to the wrench giving said measurement.
