The invention provides a gel-forming composition which permits on-site administration and can form a gel exhibiting a prescribed strength and sustained drug release, devices for the application thereof, and kits for medical use. A gel-forming composition which is composed of the first composition comprising a drug, the first gelling agent consisting of a compound of the general formula (I) and so on, and the first diluent and the second composition comprising the second gelling agent consisting of a compound of the general formula (I) and so on and the second diluent; and application devices and kits for medical use, which can hold the gel-forming composition: X1-(OCH2CH2)n-X2 (I) wherein X1 and X2 are each -R1COONHS (wherein R1 is C1-7 alkylene), -COR1COONHS, -NOCOR1-R2 (wherein R2 is maleimido), -R1NH2, -R1SH, or -CO2PhNO2; and n is an integer of 80 to 1000.

L'invention concerne une composition formant gel composée d'une première composition comprenant un médicament, un premier agent gélifiant consistant en un composé de formule générale (I) etc., et un premier diluent et d'une seconde composition comprenant un second agent gélifiant consistant en un composé de formule générale (I) etc., et un second diluent ; et des dispositifs d'application et des kits à usage médical qui peuvent contenir la composition formant gel : X<SUB>1</SUB>-(OCH<SUB>2</SUB>CH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>n</SUB>-X<SUB>2</SUB> (I) dans laquelle X<SUB>1</SUB> et X<SUB>2</SUB> sont chacun -R<SUP>1</SUP>COONHS (dans laquelle R<SUP>1</SUP> est un alkylène en C<SUB>1-7</SUB>), -COR<SUP>1</SUP>COONHS, -NOCOR<SUP>1</SUP>-R<SUP>2</SUP> (dans laquelle R<SUP>2</SUP> est un maléimido), -R<SUP>1</SUP>NH<SUB>2,</SUB>-R<SUP>1</SUP>SH ou -CO<SUB>2</SUB>PhNO<SUB>2</SUB> ; et n est un nombre entier de 80 à 1000.
