The present invention provides a gene Any-RF derived from an insect, having dormancy-control activity and biological cell-control function; a dormancy- control substance and a method for preparing the same; as well as a biological cell- control agent, which comprises, as an effective component, a physiologically active substance having a biological cell-control function and which never causes any antigen- antibody reaction in the living body. The gene encodes for a protein having an amino acid sequence specified as Sequence No. 1 in SEQUENCE LISTING: Asp-Ile-Leu-Arg-Gly, whose C-terminal is amidated and having a molecular weight of 570.959. The physiologically active substance comprising such a gene is a peptide, which can be isolated and purified by adding an acid-methanol aqueous solution to Antheraea yamamai, triturating the resulting mixture, centrifuging the same and then treating the resulting supernatant in an HPLC system. The peptide permits the control of the dormancy of insects and is also useful as a biological cell-control agent, which comprises, as an effective component, such a peptide.
L'invention porte sur un gène Any-RF issu des insectes et ayant une activité régulant la dormance et une fonction régulatrice des cellules vitales. L'invention porte également sur une substance régulant la dormance; sur un procédé de production de celle-ci; et sur un régulateur des cellules vitales qui renferme comme ingrédient actif une substance physiologiquement active ayant une fonction régulatrice des cellules vitales et ne générant aucune réaction entre antigènes et anticorps <i>in vivo</i>. Ce gène code une protéine ayant la séquence d'acides aminés Asp-Ile-Leu-Arg-Gly représentée par le NO ID SEQ: 1 dans la liste des séquences, qui a été amidée à l'extrémité C et ayant un poids moléculaire de 570.959. La séquence physiologiquement active possédant ce gène est un peptide qu'on peut obtenir en ajoutant une solution aqueuse d'acide-méthanol à la soie tussah japonaise, en transformant en poudre et en centrifugeant ce mélange, en le traitant avec HPLC et en l'isolant et en le purifiant. Ce mélange permet de réguler la dormance des insectes et peut être également utilisé comme ingrédient actif d'un régulateur des cellules vitales contenant le peptide.
