GENE FOR A-TYPE INCLUSION BODY OF POXVIRUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gene fragment coding for a major protein of A-type inclusion body in poxvirus; a DNA fragment comprising an expression control region related to the gene; a plasmid comprising the gene and the expression control region for the gene; and a process for production of the above-mentioned gene or plasmid comprising the steps of a) preparing a poxvirus, b) preparing a viral DNA from the poxvirus, c) constructing a genomic DNA library from the viral DNA, and d) selecting a vector containing the gene coding for the major protein of A-type inclusion body from the genomic DNA library.
