The invention provides a device for the delivery of a therapeutic solution, in particular, an angiogenesis-promoting substance into a heart. The device includes an elongated needle (10) having a stop, or platform (44), spaced from the distal needle tip (42) to limit the depth of penetration and stabilize the needle in the cardiac tissue. The elongated needle body (30) is flexible enough to maneuver around thoracic and cardiac geometry, yet sufficiently rigid to facilitate such maneuvering. This minimally invasive procedure allows for delivery of the solution "at a distance" through small incisions.

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'administrer dans le coeur une solution, notamment une substance stimulant l'angiogenèse. Ce dispositif comporte une aiguille allongée (10) munie d'une butée ou plate-forme (44), située à distance de la pointe distale (42) de l'aiguille de manière à limiter la profondeur de pénétration et à stabiliser l'aiguille dans le tissu cardiaque. Le corps de l'aiguille allongée (30) est à la fois suffisamment souple pour être manipulé autour de la région thoracique et cardiaque et suffisamment rigide pour faciliter cette manipulation. Cette procédure faiblement invasive permet de distribuer la solution "à distance" via de petites incisions.
