In a general dynamic temperature targeted application of cooling via carbon dioxide snow, pellets or blocks to fission reactors, the system will cool the water encasings of fissile materials in nuclear reactor cores, during normal operations and emergency operations, temporary overheating events, fuel replacement operations, arid furnish contingency cooling for steam releases, steam explosions, and reactor basement circulation events. This system has components and delivery sites, which will treat cooling water and replace the necessity of a cooling tower. This system will cool cooling water from the reactor via either or both the outlet arid the inlet routes, heavy or light water core cooling systems, and it will improve upon cooling delivered to fuel channels by providing rapid removal or stripping of undesired thermal events or fluxes. The system will include CO2 dry ice delivery that is either recovered and recycled, or not recycled and reused. The system will include direct natural heat exchange through metallic barriers such as cooling fins and exchangers and the encased cooling water from any point on a fission reactor, and include large multi tonne delivery of CO2 ice to small quantities of CO2 ice over time or in emergency, to achieve the desired cooling, which may or may not include freezing of the target coolant, water or heavy water, liquid metal coolant, liquid or gaseous transition metal coolants, or and inert intermediate compound. The concept of heat stripping is described as Cryolysis, which is the consistent and scientific application of cooling in a dynamic flow using carbon dioxide ice.
