The invention relates to a method and a device for generating three- dimensional images from a sequence of two-dimensional images. The method is characterised in that a two-dimensional image is analysed with respect to its scene type and depending on the determined scene type, a deformation that is allocated to said type is selected, said deformation being used to deform the two-dimensional image and feed it to at least one viewing channel. In addition, different transition functions are defined, said functions achieving a constant transition without interference from one deformation to each new deformation.
