Multipotent neural stem cell (MNSC) progeny are induced to generate cells of the hematopoietic system by placing the MNSC progeny in a hematopoietic- inducing environment. The hematopoietic-inducing environment can be either ex vivo or in vivo. A mammal's circulatory system provides an in vivo environment that can induce xenogeneic, allogeneic, or autologous MNSC progeny to generate a full complement of hematopoietic cells. Transplantation of MNSC progeny provides an alternative to bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation to treat blood-related disorders.
L'invention concerne la descendance d'une cellule souche neurale multipotente (MNSC) induite pour générer des cellules du système hématopoïétique par l'emplacement de la descendance MNSC dans un environnement hématopoïétique. Cet environnement peut être ex vivo ou in vivo. Un appareil circulatoire chez les mammifères fournit un environnement in vivo qui peut induire la descendance MNSC xénogène, allogénique ou autologue de manière à générer un complément complet de cellules hématopoïétiques. La transplantation de la descendance MNSC offre une alternative à la greffe de moelle osseuse et à la transplantation de cellules souches multipotentes hématopoïétiques et permet de traiter les troubles liés au sang.
