To effectively use the inside space of a generator cover to thereby reduce the size of a generator for a vehicle. The generator has a rotor boss engaged with a crankshaft, a rotor core engaged with the outer circumference of the rotor boss, a stator core provided around the outer circumference of the rotor core, and a bus ring opposed to one end surface of the rotor core. The outer circumference of the bus ring is engaged with a plurality of insulating components surrounding the teeth. A rotational angle sensor for detecting a rotational speed of the rotor boss is opposed to a sensor magnet provided on the front end of the rotor boss. The stator core has a split structure composed of a plurality of stator core blocks connected together. Each stator core block is fixed to a generator cover by a bolt. The generator cover is fixed to the outer surface of a crankcase. The rotor core is formed with a plurality of holes for respectively supporting a plurality of rotor magnets. The bus ring includes a plurality of terminals and grommets connected through bus bars to the terminals.

Procédé visant à utiliser de façon efficace l'espace intérieur du couvercle d'un générateur pour réduire les dimensions de ce dernier. Le générateur a un bossage de rotor en prise avec un vilebrequin, un rotor central en prise avec la circonférence externe du bossage de rotor, un stator central autour de la circonférence externe du rotor central et un anneau omnibus opposé à une surface de bout du rotor central. La circonférence externe de l'anneau omnibus est en prise avec plusieurs éléments d'isolation qui entourent les dents. Un capteur d'inclinaison rotationnel pour détecter la vitesse rotationnelle du bossage de rotor est placé en face d'un aimant situé à l'extrémité avant du bossage de rotor. Le stator central a une structure fractionnée composée de plusieurs blocs reliés entre eux. Chaque bloc de stator central est fixé au couvercle du générateur par un boulon. Le couvercle du générateur est fixé à la surface extérieure d'un carter. Le rotor central comprend plusieurs trous qui servent à soutenir plusieurs aimants de rotor. L'anneau omnibus comprend plusieurs terminaux et passe-câbles reliés par des barres omnibus aux terminaux.
