The invention relates to generic methods for the detection and quantification of influenza viruses. These may uses a reverse transcription (RT-PCR) real time (q-PCR) assay which amplifies a conserved region within influenza A or B strains. The assays allow the quantification of influenza virus RNA molecules or whole virus particles, irrespective of the particular virus strain (e.g. human, avian, swine flu). The methods are particularly applicable as diagnostic assays or in the monitoring of vaccine production processes.
Cette invention concerne des méthodes génériques de détection et de quantification des virus de la grippe. Ces méthodes peuvent utiliser un dosage de transcription inverse (RT-PCR) en temps réel (q-PCR) qui amplifie une région conservée au sein des souches A ou B du virus de la grippe. Les dosages permettent la quantification des molécules d'ARN du virus de la grippe ou des particules virales entières, indépendamment de la souche virale considérée (grippe humaine, aviaire, porcine). Les méthodes de l'invention sont particulièrement utilisées en tant que dosages de diagnostic ou dans la surveillance des procédés de production des vaccins.
