We describe a method for the identification of genes which show regulated expression in response to carbon source utilisation, typically genes associated with the initiation and/or promotion of cell transformation from a non-cancerous to a cancerous phenotype, typically of cells found in the colon; the use of these genes in diagnostic assays and as targets for the development of chemotherapeutic drugs and agents identified by said assay.
L'invention a pour objet un procédé d'identification de gènes faisant preuve d'une expression régulée en réponse à l'utilisation d'une source carbone, notamment des gènes en rapport avec des opérations de lancement et/ou favorisant la transformation cellulaire à partir d'un phénotype cancéreux vers un phénotype cancéreux, normalement des cellules se trouvant dans le colon; l'utilisation de ces gènes dans des essais diagnostiques et comme cibles pour la mise au point de médicaments chimiothérapeutiques et des agents identifiés par ledit essai.
