The invention concerns DNA molecules which code for deacetylases or proteins having the biological activity of a deacetylase, and transgenic plant cells which are transformed with the DNA molecules according to the invention. These molecules can be used to produce plants having parts which can be deliberately destroyed, that is plants which have male or female sterility, by the specific expression of a deacetylase gene.
L'invention concerne des molécules d'ADN qui codent des désacétylases ou des protéines ayant l'activité biologique d'une désacétylase, ainsi que des cellules végétales transgéniques transformées à l'aide des molécules d'ADN de l'invention.
