DNA obtained, for example, from snapdragon or torenia, encoding an enzyme that can convert flavanones directly to flavones, and its uses; the DNA and amino acid sequences for enzymes encoded thereby are listed as SEQ.ID. No. 1 & 2 and 3 & 4, for example. Introduction of the genes into plants can, for example, alter the flower colors of the plants.

L'invention concerne un ADN codant pour une enzyme pouvant transformer directement la flavanone en flavone, obtenue par exemple à partir d'antirrhinum et de torenia, ainsi que son utilisation. Les séquences d'acides aminés de cet ADN et l'enzyme ainsi codée sont représentées, par exemple, par les séquences ID NOS : 1, 2, 3 et 4. Le transfert de ce gène à une plante permet notamment de changer la couleur de la fleur de la plante.
