The invention relates to a method for determining an individual's risk of suffering from restenosis following the implant of a stent. The method is based on the analysis of a sample for determining the genotype in at least one single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) selected from rs350099, rs350104, rs164390 and rs875459, in the CCNB1 gene, and optionally rs2282411 and/or rs733590 in the CCNA1 and CDKN1A genes, respectively, where the presence of certain alleles in any of said polymorphisms indicates the risk of suffering from restenosis.
