The present invention provides isolated genetic sequences derived from barley and maize that confer, or otherwise facilitate or enhance, resistance in plants to plant pathogens, in particular, against Puccinia sorghi and barley stem rust, and genetic constructs comprising said genetic sequences. The present invention further provides for plants into which the subject genetic sequences have been introduced, generating enhanced resistance qualities to plant fungal pathogens and for methods of producing same.
La présente invention concerne des séquences génétiques isolées, dérivées de l'orge et du maïs et favorisant chez les plantes (ou leur conférant) la résistance aux pathogènes des plantes, en particulier à Puccinia sorghi et à la rouille de la tige de l'orge. L'invention concerne également des constructions génétiques comprenant lesdites substances génétiques. Elle concerne en outre des plantes dans lesquelles on a introduit ces séquences génétiques, qui ont assuré une meilleure résistance aux pathogènes fongiques des plantes, et aux procédés de leur fabrication.
