The invention relates to a batter mix comprising genetically modified potato starch (GMPS), a process for the production of said batter mix, the use of said batter mix for the production of food products comprising said batter mix, preferably batter coated food products, which may be pre-fried, frozen and then preferably cooked in a microwave oven, whereby the use of the genetically modified potato starch in the batter mix compositions results in unexpected superior crispnees of the food product.

L'invention concerne un mélange de pâte contenant de la fécule de pomme de terre génétiquement modifiée, un procédé de production dudit mélange de pâte, ainsi que l'utilisation de ce mélange pour fabriquer des produits alimentaires contenant ce dernier, de préférence des produits alimentaires enrobés de pâte, pouvant être préfrits, congelés et de préférence cuits au four à micro-ondes. L'utilisation de cette fécule de pomme de terre génétiquement modifiée dans des compositions de mélange de pâte permet d'obtenir des produits alimentaires étonnamment croustillants.
