A method of producing high-resolution, high-accuracy ordered restriction maps based on data created from the images of populations of individual DNA molecules (clones) digested by restriction enzymes. Detailed modeling and a statistical algorithm, along with an interactive algorithm based on dynamic programming and a heuristic method employing branch-and-bound procedures, are used to find the most likely true restriction map, based on experimental data.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire des cartes de restriction ordonnées à haute résolution et de grande efficacité sur la base de données créées à partir des images des populations de molécules d'ADN individuelles (clones) digérées par les enzymes de restriction. On utilise un modelage détaillé et un algorithme statistique, ainsi qu'un algorithme interactif fondé sur une programmation dynamique et un procédé heuristique faisant appel à des procédures de séparation et évaluation pour trouver la carte de restriction la plus probable à partir de données expérimentales.
