A geographical database connected to a mobile radio network (10) contains information about consumer services within the network (10) and about a plurality of geographic areas into which the service area of the network (10) is divided. When a mobile station (19) seeks to obtain information from the database by entering one or more search key words, the network (10) determines the current geographic location of the mobile station (19) within the network (10). Both the search keys and the mobile station's current location are used to search the database and return to the mobile station (19) information about available consumer services in different zones made up of geographic areas near its current location. The input and output from the database may be voice or text.
L'invention concerne une base de données connectée à un réseau radio mobile (10) contenant des informations sur les services clients disponibles dans le réseau (10) et sur les différentes zones géographiques composant la zone de desserte du réseau (10). Lorsqu'une station mobile (19) cherche à obtenir des informations d'une base de données par l'entrée au moins d'un mot clé, le réseau (10) détermine la position géographique actuelle de la station mobile (19) dans le réseau (10). Les clés de recherche et la position actuelle de la station mobile sont utilisées pour chercher la base de données et renvoyer à la station mobile (19) des informations sur les services clients disponibles dans différentes régions constituées de zones géographiques proches de sa position actuelle.
