A physical attribute migration method for a medium is disclosed. The method comprises forming at least one collection of seismic traces associated with an area of the medium and classified according to a predetermined criterion, and a stack section is produced on the basis of said seismic trace collection using a stacking speed field related to said area. According to the method, (a) the product of a term related to the trace amplitude and a term related to the stacking speeds is determined; (b) the amplitude data and the product are migrated at an initial migration speed to give a migrated amplitude image and a migrated product image, respectively; (c) a ratio is established between the migrated product image data and the migrated amplitude image data to give a migrated position speed; and (d) steps (b) and (c) are iterated in such a way that the migration speed of each iteration is the same as the migrated position speed from the preceding iteration, until the deviation between the migrated position speed of the final iteration (n) and that of the penultimate iteration (n-1) is below a predetermined threshold.
Elle est du type dans laquelle on constitue au moins une collection de traces sismiques, classées selon un critère déterminé et concernant ladite zone; on réalise une section somme à partir de ladite collection de traces sismiques et à l'aide d'un champ de vitesses de sommation concernant ladite zone, caractérisée en ce que, en outre: a) on effectue le produit d'un terme relatif à l'amplitude des traces par un terme relatif aux vitesses de sommation; b) on migre avec une vitesse de migration initiale, d'une part, les données amplitude pour obtenir une image migrée de l'amplitude et, d'autre part, ledit produit pour obtenir une image migrée dudit produit; c) on effectue le rapport des données de l'image migrée dudit produit sur les données de l'image migrée de l'amplitude, pour obtenir une vitesse en position migrée, et d) on procède à une itération des étapes b) et c) en utilisant pour chaque itération une vitesse de migration égale à la vitesse en position migrée issue de l'itération immédiatement précédente jusqu'à ce que l'écart entre la vitesse en position migrée finale d'itération (n) et la vitesse en position migrée d'itération (n-1) soit inférieur à un seuil prédéterminé.
