A geospatial modeling system includes a geospatial model database having stored therein a colorized three-dimensional (3D) model of a geographical area, and a processor cooperating with the geospatial model database. The processor is configured to generate an estimated monochromatic image corresponding to a collected monochromatic image based upon the colorized 3D model, generate a monochromatic difference image between the estimated monochromatic image and the collected monochromatic image, and generate a colorized image corresponding to the collected monochromatic image based upon the monochromatic difference image.

La présente invention concerne un système de modélisation géo spatiale comprenant une base de données de modèles géo spatiaux dans laquelle un modèle en trois dimensions (3D) colorisé d'une zone géographique est stocké. Le système selon l'invention comprend également un processeur qui collabore avec la base de données de modèles géo spatiaux. Le processeur est configuré de façon : à générer une image monochrome estimée correspondant à une image monochrome collectée sur la base du modèle 3D colorisé; à générer une image de différence monochrome entre l'image monochrome estimée et l'image monochrome collectée; et à générer une image colorisée correspondant à l'image monochrome collectée sur la base de l'image de différence monochrome.
