A geospatial modeling system (20') may include a geospatial model data storage device (21') containing geospatial model data including a plurality of groups of tree crown vegetation points (35') and a display (23'). The system (20') may further include a processor (22') cooperating with the geospatial model data storage device (21') and the display (23') for displaying a simulated tree trunk (36') beneath a group of tree crown vegetation points (35'), and displaying at least one level of simulated tree branches (122a'-122c') for the simulated tree trunk. Each tree branch (122') may be positioned based upon determining a branch distal reference point beneath a cluster of tree crown vegetation points from among the group of tree crown vegetation points.
L'invention concerne un système (20') de modélisation géospatiale pouvant comprendre un dispositif (21') de stockage de données de modèle géospatial contenant des données de modèle géospatial comprenant une pluralité de groupes de points (35) de végétation en cimes darbres, ainsi quun affichage (23'). Le système (20') peut comprendre en outre un processeur (22') coopérant avec le dispositif (21') de stockage de données de modèle géospatial et laffichage (23') en vue dafficher un tronc darbre simulé (36') sous un groupe de points (35) de végétation en cimes darbres et dafficher au moins un niveau de branches darbre simulées (122a'-122c') pour ledit tronc darbre simulé. Chaque branche (122') darbre peut être positionnée sur la base dune détermination dun point de référence distal de branche sous un amas de points de végétation en cimes darbres au sein du groupe de points de végétation en cimes darbres.
