The present invention is related to the fields of molecular biology, virology, immunology and medicine. The invention provides a composition comprising an ordered and repetitive antigen or antigenic determinant array, and in particular a ghrelin or ghrelin-derived peptide-array. More specifically, the invention provides a composition comprising a virus-like particle and at least one ghrelin or a ghrelin-derived peptide bound thereto. The invention also provides a process for producing the conjugates and the ordered and repetitive arrays, respectively. The compositions of the invention are useful in the production of vaccines for the treatment of obesity and other disease associated with increased food-uptake or increased body weight and to efficiently induce immune responses, in particular antibody responses. Furthermore, the compositions of the invention are particularly useful to efficiently induce self-specific immune responses within the indicated context.
L'invention, qui a trait aux domaines de la biologie moléculaire, de la virologie, de l'immunologie et de la médecine, porte sur une composition comprenant un réseau ordonné et répétitif d'antigènes et de déterminants antigéniques et en particulier sur un réseau peptidique de ghrelin ou dérivé de ghrelin, et plus spécifiquement sur une composition comprenant une particule de type virus à laquelle est lié un peptide de ghrelin ou dérivé de ghrelin. L'invention porte également sur un procédé de production de conjugués et des réseaux ordonnés et répétitifs associés. Les compositions de l'invention sont utiles pour la production de vaccins de traitement de l'obésité et d'autres troubles associés à la suralimentation ou à la prise de poids, et pour induire efficacement des réponses immunitaires en particulier de production d'anticorps. En outre les compositions de l'invention sont particulièrement utiles pour induire efficacement des réponses immunitaires autospécifiques dans le contexte indiqué.
