ABSTRACT In a tool for holding paint, it is known to be constructed of metal or plastic and contoured into a form that possesses both a shallow end and a deeper end in which paint is held and disposed of. Subsequently the paint roller is positioned in the deep end of the tray and rolled towards the shallow end to disperse the paint more or less evenly on the roller. Use of such a tray would unfortunately necessitate the unpleasant task of cleaning it after each use with harmful solvents. This is necessary so that the tray is clean for future use or to apply paint of a different colour. The solvents are potentially harmful to both the user and the environment. This particular invention relates to a new improvement in the painting field, and more particularily to improvements in paint trays used in connection with the application of paint to a paint roller, as earlier described. The tool would be constructed of a flexible, form-fitting, paint-impervious wrap or latex plastic which would be placed into the interior of the paint tray. It would be firmly held within by means of self- adhesive material on the bottom of the wrap and by an elasticized band fitted onto the perimeter of the wrap and placed snugly over and under the tray's outer lip, thus abolishing actual contact of the paint to the tray. One objective of this tool is to provide a paint tray liner within the tray when in use, and which is also adapted to be readily detached and disposed of when the task is completed. .../2
