ABSTRACT Bright and undimmed lights of motorized vehicles reduce a driver's ability to see oncoming traffic and his own side of the road, especially when driving in the rain at night. A filter with a unique shape is strategically placed between the light of the oncoming traffic and the eyes of the driver. The filter reduces the intensity of the lights and the glare they produce, enabling the driver to see both, the oncoming traffic and his/her own side of the road more clearly. The filter can also be used to reduce undesirable effects of sunlight and its glare.
