ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a suspended glass enamel composition for providing a decorative esthetic coating on glass or ceramic ware comprising an immersion of a frit-nacreous pigment composition wherein the nacreous pigment has an average particle size between approximately 0 - 200 microns and a weight within the range of approximately .5 to 25% of the weight of the total weight of the frit-pigment composition and the frit has a weight within the range of approximately 50 to 99.5% of the total weight of the frit-pigment composition, and an applicatlon medium which has a weight within the range of 12 to 45% of the weight of the total glass composition. The glass enamel composltion is useful in provlding a decorative glass or ceramic article, and is adapted to be applied to the surface of a glass or ceramic article and fired so that the glass composltion fuses to form a decorative and esthetic surface on said article.
