INVENTION: GLASS-FORMING ALLOYS WITH IMPROVED FILAMENT STRENGTH INVENTORS: ALFRED FREILICH and SHELDON KAVESH ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Replacing iron with small amounts of molybdenum, i.e., about 1 to 8 atom percent, in a glass-forming alloy consisting essentially of about 9 to 24 atom percent boron, the balance essentially iron and incidental impurities, results in substantial improvement in filament strength.
