Holders for attaching a glass or a cup to a plate. The glass holder comprises a clamping portion for attaching the glass holder to the rim of a plate and a holding portion for holding a glass. The clamping portion includes a blocking member and a pair of opposed jaws spaced apart by the blocking member. The opposed spaced apart jaws cooperate to define a channel means to receive the rim of the plate and clamp the glass holder on the rim of the plate. The jaws of the clamping portion further comprise a pair of opposed lips being pressed with thumb for keeping the blocking member of the glass holder against the edge of the plate rim to provide stability. The inner periphery of the holding portion is in C-shape. The holding portion has a gap for passing through the stem of the glass.
