ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sizing composition for glass fibers is disclosed, the sizing composition including a non-plasticized vinyl acetate copolymer, a polyvinyl acetate homopolymer, a partial fatty amide of a polyamine and an anionic fatty acid long chain derivative in an aqueous emulsion. Thus, the invention provides glass filaments wherein at least a portion of the surface of the filaments has a residue produced by evaporating water from the aqueous sizing composition. The sizing composition has particular application on glass fibers to be incorporated into resin systems, and is particularly suitable for application to gun roving.
