An apparatus, system and method for facilitating accommodation reservations using the Internet (160) and for providing marketing data to the hotelier (140). The present invention includes a consumer component (110) and an accommodation component (120). The consumer component including includes an incremental bidding column wherein a consumer (150) may incrementally bid on a room type at an accommodation. The incremental bidding column includes the historically highest and lowest acceptable price. The accommodation component (120) includes definable tiers for an accommodation wherein a hotelier (140) may define selling criteria and pricing for an accommodation. The defined accommodation inventory is immediately available to the consumer (150) so that the consumer has access to the latest accommodation inventory and pricing. Additionally, the system tracks data related to use of the consumer component (110) that is useful to the hotelier in setting prices and defining marketing needs for a particular accommodation.
L'invention concerne un appareil, un système et un procédé permettant de faciliter des réservations d'hébergement au moyen d'Internet et de fournir des données de marketing à un hôtelier. Cette invention a également trait à un composant consommateur et à un composant hébergement. Le composant consommateur comportant une colonne d'offre incrémentale, dans laquelle un consommateur peut faire une offre incrémentale portant sur un type de chambre d'un hébergement. Ladite colonne comporte un prix acceptable le plus bas et le plus élevé connu jusqu'ici. Le composant hébergement comprend un tiers définissable destiné à un hébergement, dans lequel un hôtelier peut définir des critères de vente et une fixation des prix d'un hébergement. L'inventaire défini d'hébergements est immédiatement disponible au composant consommateur, de telle manière qu'un consommateur utilisant le composant consommateur a accès au tout dernier inventaire et à la fixation des prix d'un hébergement. En outre, le système suit des données concernant l'utilisation du composant consommateur qui est utile à l'hôtelier dans la fixation des prix et des besoins de marketing d'un hébergement spécifique.
